Spa Break at Gleneagles

This week I went to the Spa at Gleaneagles and all the way round it I just kept saying WOW!! No wonder this spa is Winner of Favourite Spa in a UK HotelConde Nast Traveller Readers Travel Awards 2010

The moment you enter the spa there is a feeling of peace and tranquility. The staff were very welcoming and really friendly too.

My therapist was a lovely girl and made me feel really comfortable. My treatment started with the ‘Welcome Foot Ritual’. My feet were soaked in a bowl of warm water and scented oils. The therapist then asked which oils I preferred the scent of for my massage and placed a small amount of each onto my arm so that I could smell them! She then exfoliated each lower leg and foot and placed them back in the water. Then she lifted each foot out and moisturised them and wrapped them in a warm towel.

ESPA Back Face and Scalp Massage, An all embracing treatment incorporating back cleanse, Massage and a full ESPA Intensive Facial with facial acupressure and Oriental Head Massage. The initial, deep cleansing back exfoliation is followed by a back massage with aromatic oils bringing powerful de-stressing benefits to mind and body. The facial includes massage with deeply nourishing facial oil and the application of an intensive face treatment mask, tailored to your individual needs. Whilst the mask is taking effect, the oriental head massage takes place to help clear the mind, calm the spirit and ease tension. The result is rehydrated, nourished and soothed skin combined with a sense of deep relaxation!

After the treatment which I slept a lot of the way through. I was gently woken up and given a glass of water. When I got up the therapist led me to the relaxation room. It was dimly lit with beds and blankets. I was given a fruit smoothie to drink and some nibbles to re-energise me. It was pure HEAVEN!!!

I thoroughly recommend a visit to the spa at Gleneagles if you want to know more visit
